Who Does This Woman Think She Is?
Oh yea, she thinks she is an almighty one with the title as senator and she should be addressed as so.
Brigidier General Walsh has EARNED each and every one of those ribbons on his chest, he EARNED the star on his shoulder. No one voted to give him that title. No one voted to give him the ribbons. Again, let me say (in case of any misunderstanding) HE EARNED IT ALL!
[b]oxer on the other hand is a public servant, placed in the position of senator by the people. Yes VOTED in, not earned! Oh you may argue that she ‘earned’ it, and the fact that she was voted into office of senator proves it. Yes, she does deserve to be addressed respectfully (or she did up until this ignorant act) and the General was doing so by addressing her as ma’am. A perfect form of respect both in the civilian world and the military.
So [b]oxer, get over yourself and publicly apologize to the General for your ignorance.

I have to agree. That was obnoxious, pretentious, disrespectful and just made her look like a jackass. She’s worked so hard to get the title of “Senator”? Give me a break. As someone in the military it was perfectly normal AND respectful for him to address her as “ma’am”. She made a fool of herself. Should we all start insisting only being addressed using our job titles? How ridiculous we would all sound. She needs to get over herself.
